We have been learning about 2D shapes and how to describe them by counting the number of edges and sides each has. Miss Dore put lots of shapes into a bags and we had to feel one and count the sides and edges without looking and try to work out what shape it is. This was fun! We were pretty good at it.

Everyone has selected a poem and has glued this into their homework book to begin practicing at home. We have 2 weeks to practice our poems. Everyone needs to have a simple introduction that they share before saying their poem. This is just sharing their name, the poems name and why they chose that poem.
Here is an example of an introduction.
"Hi, my name is Miss Dore. Today I'm going to share with you a poem called Mice by Rose Fyleman. I chose this poem because I really like mice and would like one as a pet."
FYI I'm actually really scared of mice!
