Ice Skating was fun on Friday night! It was great to see so many children and families from Room 18 there.

Wriggly Caterpillar Challenge

Today with our buddy class we had a challenge to make caterpillars and use a straw to blow and make them move. It was tricky but fun. We enjoyed the competition at the end!

Goodbye to Alex

Today we said goodbye to Alex because he is going back to Cambodia. We will miss having him in our classroom.

Library

We will be going to the library on Tuesday next week instead of Thursday. This will be a good chance for Room 18 to choose some books to read over the 2 week holiday. Please remind your child to return their books next Tuesday.

Pizza Day - Friday 5th July

Rob the Nest

Today for P.E we played 'rob the nest'. We enjoyed playing this.

Gifu Conference

This afternoon Room 18 went with Mrs Stanton to do a video call with our sister school in Japan. Some of us came up to the front of the T.V and spoke to the children in the Japanese school. We had to speak clearly and loud so they could understand us.

We noticed that they didn't have art work on their walls but had curtains.

Ice Skating - Friday 28th June

This Friday is our ice skating event. This is a night that is full of fun!

• Dunedin Ice Stadium (101 Victoria Road,St Kilda, Dunedin)
• 5pm - 7pm
• $10 each to skate. Parents can pay to skate or watch
• Ice skates are given out with entry
• Food on sale
• Please bring cash 
• Dress warm!

Obstacle Course

We enjoyed doing an obstacle course for P.E today.

Move and Groove-athon

Move and Groove-athon booklets came home today so everyone can begin getting sponsors. All info is in the booklet.

These need to be back at school by next Tuesday (18th June) at the latest so we can collect stamps at school for moving and grooving.

The booklets will go home again on Tuesday 25th after a week of moving and grooving at school so sponsorship money can be collected.
