Swimming!

A reminder notice about swimming came home today.

Swimming starts THIS Friday, 1st March. We will be leaving school straight after morning tea (11.30) and returning just after 1pm. Please make sure your child has togs and a towel in a named bag.

If you are coming as a parent help, please come to Room 18 at 11.25am. If you are now unable to help, please let me know.

Science Table

Now that all of our butterflies are outside our science table is looking pretty empty. What could you find to go on it? Perhaps an interesting rock, a shell, a birds nest or a bug. If you find something, you can bring it in and put it on our science table.

Butterflies

We were amazed to find 3 butterflies waiting for us this morning. One was so ready to go outside that it flew around the class. We discovered we had 2 girls and 1 boy.

Butterfly Surprise!

We were super excited after lunch to discover that one of our butterflies had come out of its chrysalis! We learnt that male monarch butterflies have a black dot on each wing and females do not. Our butterfly didn't have any black dots which means it is a girl!

We had to let its wings dry so we couldn't take it outside. Miss Dore took it outside before she went home. Check out the picture of it with its wings open!

Wow we had so many children do the homework extra this week. Check out their hard work!

This notice came home with everyone today. Please can it come back to school ASAP filled in so we can start to learn our mihi in Māori.
