3D Shapes and Nets

Today we looked at nets and how they relate to 3D shapes. We had templates of a 3D shape (a net) and we had to count the faces, vertices and corners, cut it out and fold it into a 3D shape.

Wacky Hair/Mad Hair Day - Thursday 23rd May

This Thursdsay, 23rd May, is wacky hair/mad hat day to support the upcoming fair.

In exchange for having wacky hair at school, each team has been asked to bring a long an item that can be used in a raffle or in a prize.

Juniors - Packets of food for cooking like pasta, rice, noodles, etc
Middle - Packets of food for sweet treats like biscuits, bars, lollies etcModels - Toiletries eg shower gel, body was, body spray, toothpaste, nice soaps, etcSeniors - Jars and bottles eg pickles, sauces, spices, jams, spreads, etc

3D Playdough Shapes

We were pretty impressed with our play-dough 3D shapes!

Some of the children wanted the play-dough recipe that I used, so I have included a photo of that.

Discovery and Buddy Time

We had discovery and buddy time today where we focused on play based learning. We were very creative and had a lot of fun!

Tooth Holders

Miss Dore brought special tooth holders to keep our teeth safe if they fall out at school. Dylan was the first person who got one. They are pretty cool!

Play House Performance

We had a great morning watching the funny play house performance.
