Science Experiment

We loved doing some science this afternoon! We didn't find out the name of the experiment until they end so it didn't give too much away. It is called 'Lava in a cup'.

We learnt that oil is lighter than water so that it why it came to the top. We also learnt that salt is heavier than oil, when it sinks down it takes some oil with it but then the salt dissolves and back up goes the oil (creating bubbles).

We did some excellent scientific thinking and drawings. (I forgot to take a video as we did it but we did a quick video at the end to show our whānau).
