Our current science topic is 'Human impact on Aotearoa'. Today we learnt about plastics and the many problems they cause. Plastic stays on our earth for a long time, a lot longer than the amount of time it is used for.
We are doing a bag experiment. This involves burying a plastic bag, a brown paper bag and a biodegradable bag. Next term we will dig up these bags and see if there are any changes (if any have started to decompose) or if they are still the same.
What do you think will happen? Leave a comment with your prediction.
I think the biodegradable bag will have started to break into pieces, the plastic bag will only get muddy and stay the same, and I'm not sure about the paper bag. From Josiah.
